I specialize in documentary wedding photography, other ways of describing it would be wedding reportage or photojournalism. This means that 99% of my work is completely candid. I focus on documenting the day as it unfolds, blending in with the crowd and capturing those moments that really matter.
No, my approach is to be as informed as possible before the date so I know when and where everything is going to happen. This way I can ensure my documentary approach can cover all the important moments. I will not try to make your wedding look like anyone else's wedding, it will be unique to you.
Typically, turnaround time is about 6 - 8 weeks.
Yes, I have both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.
Yep, you can book with an album package from the start or go with the digital-only package and think about the album later. I recommend the album packages as its super important to print your images and its simply better value!
I deliver your images using a secure state of the art online gallery. The gallery contains all of your images in high resolution, without watermarks, professionally edited by me. This means you can download all your images to your computer, share with your friends and family, you can also order prints directly from the gallery.
Not every wedding goes up on my blog or Instagram, this is not part of my service, but I do try to show as much of my work as possible.
I've been doing wedding photography professionally for three years now. Before that, I received a Masters in Photography from the London Metropolitan University. Photography is my passion, it's what I do every day.
I think it's important to get a shot with both of your immediate families, and a shot with your bridal party, but that's about it. I appreciate that there may be one or two other formal shots that might be important to you, in these cases I try to be as accommodating as I can. But I believe that too many formal photos can disrupt the flow of the day.
Before booking, I think its a great idea to at least speak on the phone, over Skype or even meet if its possible. We need to establish if we are a good match. Once you decide to book, I need a deposit of €300 euro and a signed contract to secure the date. I can not hold a date for you without a deposit and a signed contract. I will also send you a form to fill in some details about your wedding day, venue and times.
If your wedding is based in the west of Ireland or abroad, I will need travel and accommodation covered. I can quote you for this according to your wedding location.
Cannot recommend Ryan enough. He was like a ninja photographer at our low key, home wedding, producing the most amazing, candid photos without our guests even noticing him!
It was so nice to have a photographer that understood the style we wanted (which was, it turns out, his exact style!!) and totally got our eagerness to avoid traditional, posed photos. He also had the difficult task of photographing a couple who are allergic to the camera! Needless to say, he made us totally comfortable and we just laughed our way through the whole day. Relaxed, professional, non-intrusive, understanding, talented and just a really sound person to have at your wedding!! Can’t recommend enough!

Made us, our families and friends feel completely at ease throughout the day. Could not recommend highly enough. Absolute professional and a great guy. Thank you Ryan!

"To summarise, for any couple out there looking for a wedding photographer: you will feel completely comfortable and at ease with Ryan, he will be everywhere he needs to be and you probably won’t notice him there, he will produce photos that will make you feel the emotions of the day and transport you back there to relive your wedding day over and over again. I’m not sure you could ask for anything more from a wedding photographer! We might just have to have a third wedding for you to photograph……"
