It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to document this Riverbank House Hotel Wedding. Ciara & Tj had such a laid back approach to their wedding photos. They knew they didn't want the traditional style of posed photos, which of course suited me down to the ground. They kindly allowed to share the day with you, so feel free to check it out below.

At the risk of seeming a little lazy here, I've included the questionnaire I sent to the couple rather than actually properly editing & writing an article. To be fair though, Ciara & Tj's words here are better than my own rambling style of writing.

How did you guys meet?:

We first met on Junior Cert results night at a teenage disco way back when! Two years later we decided to go to the cinema and been together since St Patricks Day 2009. We were only 17
(very boring story we know haha)

The Proposal:

When everyone had finally given up nagging Tj to propose, we went on a spontaneous date night while his mam was minding the kids. He had bought the ring that morning and had intended on waiting for 'the right moment' but when his mam offered to mind the kids that same night (unbeknownst to her what Tj had just purchased) he jumped at the opportunity. That was the start of what would soon turn out to be a very whirlwind couple of months! We went for dinner in La Cote and then for a stroll along the Quay where he got down on one knee, right by the spot we first got together! That was Sept 28th 2018. On 23rd of November we booked our date for a mere 17 weeks later! (2 days shy of our 10th anniversary) We were very lucky to find the venue we wanted and some fabulous suppliers still available for our date! Best of all, Ryan was available too!

Photographer Testimonial:

It's funny really, looking back we never mulled too long over many of our wedding decisions except for one, the photographer. We went back and forward between many and we just couldn't bring ourselves to book one, until we came across Ryan! As soon as we seen his Instagram account we just knew we HAD to have him. We didn't know anything about documentary style photography but we soon became hooked. All his reviews were so genuine and spot on, he really was like a little ninja on the day and how he even captured some of the photos are beyond us, especially of our kids.

We were very impressed with Ryan's level of professionalism from the first email to the final product. He was so easy to deal with and had the photos back in record time which just highlighted his passion and dedication to the job.
We found it very hard to write a review for Ryan as we just couldn't put our appreciation in to words, his photos literally left us speechless. We were on our honeymoon when we got a sneak peak at a couple of photos and we were literally blown away. We also loved that he included not only photos of us, but also our guests enjoying the day.

The Engagement Shoot:

We were lucky enough to win an engagement photo shoot with Ryan before the wedding and it really helped us two awkward yokes gain a bit of confidence in front of the camera! We also got to chat with him a bit and it really and truly helped us prepare for our wedding day we would highly recommend it!

Any advice for couples planning a wedding?:

My advice for anyone planning a wedding would be to enjoy it all and keep it simple. Far too many people get lost in all the little details (leave that to Ryan, trust us) and while they might seem important at the time, looking back, all that is important is that you're surrounded by the people you love and that love you.
If you get overwhelmed with peoples opinions, keep your cards close to your chest, they cant have an opinion if they don't know what you're planning.
